Where To Stay In New York City: Best Areas & Hotels

Did someone say boujie, chic, or ultra-posh? Referred to by locals as the UES, the Upper East Side of town is where luxury meets fancy with a side of classy.

The Upper East Side is quite a large area and is broken down into three smaller neighbourhoods:

  • Lenox Hill
  • Carnegie Hill
  • Yorkville

The gorgeous streets showcase one stunning mansion after the other and you’ll find plenty of charming parks, coffee shops and incredible museums.

Perhaps you’ve wanted to visit the UES ever since watching Gossip Girl or maybe you’ve never heard of the neighbourhood before – whatever the reason, it’s worth it. It will be one of New York’s best areas you can stay in.

Life moves at a slower pace on this side of Manhatten which is perfect if you want to escape the flashiness of Midtown.

You’ll find a different type of flashy here, as you gaze at

Moqui Caverns – Kanab Sand Caves

If you’re driving in southern Utah and you’re anywhere near Kanab, it’s worth taking 45 minutes to an hour to visit the Moqui Caverns – also known as the Kanab Sand Caves. They are man-made caves built in the 1970’s for mining sand that was used in glass making. They probably wouldn’t be a stop on a Utah itinerary, if it weren’t for Instagram and the compelling views from the sand caves around sunset.

You can see the Moqui Caverns from Highway 89 if you know where to look, so I bet many people visited in the past, but without geotagging and social media sharing, they didn’t become a destination until recently.

Where are the Moqui Caverns/Kanab Sand Caves?

The Moqui Caverns are located 6.4 miles north of the Kanab Visitor Centre via Highway 89. Allow 10 minutes of driving time. From the Mount Carmel Junction, they are a 12-minute

Where to Stay In Jimbaran (+ the Best Beachfront Hotels to Book)

Which is Better: Canggu, Seminyak, or Jimbaran?

Canggu, Seminyak, and Jimbaran are all desirable areas when it comes to deciding where to stay in Bali.

However, each of them has slight differences that might make one better suited for you than another.:

Canggu is a laid-back beach town known for having great surfing conditions, plenty of yoga classes, and fun bars where you’ll want to dance the night away!

And then there’s Seminyak which is known for having beautiful resorts, a variety of dining options, and also great options for a lively night out.

You’ll find Canggu and Seminyak are much busier areas than Jimbaran, as they are more popular tourist destinations.

But this might make Jimbaran more appealing for those looking to get out of these bustling areas, and enjoy spending time on quieter beaches with less traffic.

There isn’t quite the same nightlife in Jimbaran as the other

Details on our Tibet tour

The official countdown has just begun: 41 days left till our Tibet journey and believe me, we can’t wait!

Unfortunately, according to the rules and regulations of the China National Tourism Administration (CNTA), foreign passport holders should apply for the Tibet Travel Permit (TTP) before entering Tibet, and it is not available by independent travelers at the moment. For this reason, we had to book a tour with a travel agency and asked them to apply for the TTP. We were hoping though, as we’ve heard some rumours, that at the beginning of 2012 this regulation should have been changed but it has not till now. Looks like we won’t be able to go sightseeing freely without a travel guide following us all the time, but at least, we will enjoy the view and scenery of magnificent Roof of the World 🙂 and… it’s worth it!

I spent days trying
